Beach Riptide (FIAT More Imagination) by Steelmax Beach Riptide (FIAT More Imagination) by Steelmax
A sticker design for the "More FIAT, More Imagination" contest.
The background should be half-transparent, when the image itself has solid colors.

Guess, that aggresive shark teeth will look awesome!

It's very raw. Kind of reminds me of the first time I saw the movie poster of Jaws... with a mix of Pichu :la:

Would you mind taking a look at mine please?

That's an interesting idea!  It's both aggressive and cheerful.  I didn't even know they made partially transparent vinyls until I looked it up just now.  I'm still not sure if they can make the same vinyl opaque in some places and partially transparent in other places, so you might want to look into that.  Good luck!

Thank you for the support!
Yes, you can see it by checking the Example Entry on the contest's main page. There are these toned side windows and a vinyl on them, while the rear window has a sticker. Since it is an example, I can only suggest a possibility of using such tricks with the opaque - we may be forced to withdraw with the idea, eventually.

Love your submission! But people are saying we can't color the car? Did you find that to be true? Let me know :) I had mine colored red but I was worried because I don't want to be disqualified and I dont want you to be either!! :)

This statement is more like to be wrong, since there is no single term explaining the use of the different colors in the official rules… Possibly the template has been desaturated to make a focus on the sticker, not on the other elements. Hence, it's acceptable :D And I would agree, because you can see overall results of the picture.
I'm not sure what colour will be defined to the cars, although the Chrysler/FIAT staff may pick the most suitable ones (stockcar palettes) prior to this event.

Good luck to you and everybody else who is taking a part in this contest!

how do you add color to car so perfectly? looks great
Steelmax Featured By Owner Sep 13, 2013
Photoshop: Pen Tool > then various filtering. Not much of a problem, actually. Could be even more colours (according to the official 500L palette).
